inspired by a 'paint skin' piece by graham peacock, after viewing a link in a post shared by rick a little while back, thanks man, this one really jumped out at me and i simply had to give it a shot.

I like this one very much and the colour mix is fab. It looks great in different orientations as well.

this is a striking piece
the fabric folds are an unusual sight in an modern abstract
it seems like a classic Greek influences
with strong abstract compositional elements
bright colors keep it upbeat

I really like this one!

Went to have a look at his art site - I can see where you're coming from. I like this a lot.
If I hadn't read it was a post by you I would never have guessed

Oh, La, La! This piece is out of the box for you and it's great. As Greggo pointed out, I love the classic folds against the abstract. It's also a nice touch that you gave it all such depth. Great piece.

right?!
it was a great bunch of lessons for me in comp and color management - to put all that color together, all those shapes and wrinkles - and make it work! boggling.
i take no credit for this piece whatsoever.

whoa, this is a bright and screaming piece. The interplay between the monochromatic and the color-mixed areas is interesting, though the pure-blue and pure-magenta fabric is giving me a hard time.

Well done La! I find your version of this composition more cheerful and exciting. Glad his work spoke to you.

This is outstanding. I've seen x compositions, golden mean comps, triangle comps, asymmetrically balanced comps, but I don't think I've ever seen an 'hourglass' composition before, at least not that I can remember. Very cool. Nice work with altering the color saturation.
