Think the roses are lovely, but feel they need a bit of complementary colours (blues/mauves against the strong yellows and oranges) Would really bring full life to these lovely colours you've put on paper.

I mentioned earlier but just so you know...
The scanner I have doesn't scan the whole painting.
About 3" of top space is cut off. and about 2" on each side is cut off.
This negative space area that didn't make it into this scan is comprised of a mixture of winsor blue and burnt umber.
If you could see the whole thing...the blue in the background (wet in wet) really compliments the orangey roses.
It's a very powerful piece. I planned on doing a complementary color scheme...it just amazes me that it actually worked out the way I intended.
It's funny how practices can make you start achieving more and more of your design goals!
