View Full Version : My Wild Sunflower

I had a wild sunflower come up between the bricks of my patio this spring...and it had just one awesome bloom. Here is my rendition of "my wild sunflower". It's 19x16 and the change in color near the bottom is due to the paper getting bent slightly.
Comments and critique welcome. carly

I really like the colors you used. It brings up an image of a soft summer evening before the sun sets completely. You know what I mean. Every thing has that surreal look about it. Good job http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/smile.gif

Thanks, I was thinking of calling this "Sunrise" but perhaps "Sunset" would be better!

I like this sunflower Carly...only suggestion I would make is to have a bit more contrast
like in the center around the edge and between a few of the petals. Your light source seems to be coming from the right, so the petals could reflect that a bit more right? Just MHO...
Sure hope you are bring some of your finished flowers to the getaway! http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/smile.gif Carol
