It never snows in southern California, and some winter days are pretty warm. It doesn't give you much of a Christmasy feeling. I'd like to spend some time where it snows for a change. I think a lot of people moved here for the climate and the beaches, but now the California economy sucks and our government sucks, so a lot of people and businesses have moved out. But the roads are still overcrowded during rush hour and it's often a hassle to find a place to park.

I can feel your pain.... I'm in Georgia and I despise the cold...ice only belongs in beverages. I do however like that we do get a feel for the changing season here.... the winters aren't too bad; we usually get about 10 days of genuine winter weather here.... the rest is in the 30' to 50's(degrees fahrenheit that is).
The summers are monstrous with the humidity.... but the Spring's and Fall's are divine.

I'm trying to talk my wife into moving to Florida... but I'll miss my seasons when we do.

Being in Phoenix, I'm just to THANKFUL that winter is finally here! I HATE HATE HATE those long hot summers! Winter in Arizona is just about perfect.

LOL. I agree!

I don't mind the snow too much, but I don't like it when it gets icy uinderfoot. I like the different seasons though, and here in Toronto, October is my favourite month.

Here in Ohio, my favorites are the between days.
Between the high cost of cooling and the high cost of heating! LOL :D :D

Mmmmmmm, hot chocolate, cozy sweaters, warm fires, combing wool for spinning, hot soup, cozy blankees, new seed catalogues, soft wool socks, baking. I hate the cold but love the winter warm. I don't feel like doing any of these things in the middle of summer and would miss them terribly.

Well, the windchill has the temperature at -28 tonight...I like cozy but I am not thrilled that the bitter cold is setting in so early! :(

We had snow a couple of weeks ago, then got really warm weather and this weekend the temps are dropping to 20 degrees and we're supposed to have freezing rain. I like snow as long as I don't have to shovel it and sadly...I will have to all year:mad:

I do not like cold , gray mostly rainy and ice no snow days of winter here. But when it is a sunshine it feels better but still cold for my bones. Snow... I grew up in a very cold snowy winters. I did not miss it much... if I want some I can go to mountains
(1 and1/2 - 2 hour drive)... I am afraid of slippery ground now as it is a real danger for me and my titanium back:rolleyes:
So ... I love Spring and Summer! Fall is fine but the thought that it is leading into the Winter diminishes it's beauty for me..

It's snowing here right now, and though my favorites are Spring and Fall, I really haven't minded since I started dressing for it.....It's not so bad (we average 14 feet per year...) I wish it wasn't so LONG, though.

By March, I have had just about enough, and around here you can't even plant until after the May 24th weekend.

I have thought about relocating, but the good around here outweighs the nasty. We have fewer people here, not much crime, fresh air, wilderness nearby, and three other beautiful seasons,....and how can you beat a winter BBQ? or bonfire? or Hot chocolate outside on a frosty snowy evening? Or Northern lights? or skiing? (even really slow, cause I'm getting old and concerned about breaking a hip....)

I gotta go, there's an adventure awaiting me.... :D :D :D
