That's a really nice drawing.It certainly a strange looking aircraft ,four big engines and a solid looking bi plane.

The M130 wasn't a Bi Plane .... what you thing are lower wings are the floats

I think they were usually called 'Sponsons', the DO 24 had them as well, infact they were very popular in early Flying Boats.

Ahhh i see it now ,just looked like a lower set of wings at first.Maybe they just need redefining a bit :)

Good looking drawing of a flying boat, HMS. They were beautiful old beasts. Last one I saw was Coulson's Mars. He keeps them on the island here.

I painted the China Clipper years ago for the Bath Postal Museum

Getting pictures pre internet was almost impossible back then, I had to do this from a 3 view plan

Now THAT is a beautiful painting! I have never really used 3-plan drawings myself (only for some reference), but I mostly use old pics or models that I have built.

Nice painting. Now I know where the got that lovely back end for the Catalina
