Hi everyone, this one took longer, around two days.

Before starting with the drawing I made at least five sketches to plan the composition. There is a long time preparing the painting with the value patterns before the start.

I hope you find this process useful. I did not have any structure when I started and is difficult to find good step by step paintings on the internet.

In any case, this painting has a previous work (a long one) before even starting to draw, composition is the key and the only way to learn this is by watching others and understanding why the decisions are made... and for sure accumulating a large "visual" library (learning from all the masters from the past). This takes years but is worth it every second.

I love this! The way you finished it adds interest without taking away from the beauty of the girl. Great portrait!
