being lazy and practically always leaving pallates to solidify , whilst also using this idea for other hobbies , I came up with the idea of merging the two .....

effectively it is a idea to easily strip paint whilst not damaging the plastic or material underneath

my palate was thick with solidified paint that I initialy stripped as much as possible with a paint knife

also the dipper was solidified linseed oil in one and liquin in another up to about 1/4 level

the good news is it is pretty much 0 effort and inexpensive , I used on oils but equally I can't see it not working for alkyds or acrylics

the technique is simple , cheap and effortless

put your items to be cleaned in a polythene carrier bag . then spray your items in Mr Muscle oven cleaner ( or similar equivalent ) outside ,,seal bag and leave for 48 hrs ,, after 48 hours most if not all will wash off under the hot tap ( wear rubber gloves ,) if any does remain a second go round often works
