8x10 I feel like I lost what I was doing when I got to the wizard's robe. May do this one again. Sandy

WHOA MAL! What a loose, transparent rendering and that crystal really shines out!! What about that robe is bothering you?

yes lovely transparent crystals,
don't see why you are worried about robe,
has nice contrast, like it as it is,

Doesn't look to me like you "lost it". Maybe this is one of those mistakes you shouldn't point out to people. I don't think they would notice if you don't say "it's not right". 'Cause it looks just fine even if it's not quite what you intended. Love the colors!

I don't think you 'lost' it. I really enjoy the limited palette you used. You did a great job. The transparency of the crystals is great!

Hi Mal - I love crystals, I'm fascinated by them - but I never thought of painting them before. You did great on this picture and have inspired me to have a go too (hope you don't mind http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/wink.gif ).

Now I just have to learn how to a) operate the digital camera, b) transfer pictures to the computer and c) reduce them - instead of having to wait for ages until my husband has the time to do it for me. Perhaps then I can post some more work here!
