I guess I'll stop here. The man I'm giving this to is more than satisfied. I would still like to make some improvements but...what the heck...he's happy. Time to get on to bigger and better things!

Love the painting, but not the frame...sorry. The subject is rustic americana and the frame is guilded, posh, baroque, and european (IMO).

Again, the painting is a great addition to your portfolio! Did you get a digital camera? This image looks slightly cleaner than the others.

I agree with you about the frame...I deleted it! Thanks for the input and thanks for all your help! No...I haven't bought a digital camera yet. I stepped up the highlights in this painting. I guess the scanner was able to "read" it better.

Looks wonderful!! Yes, much better scan. Love the highlight on the little feather in the cap also. Your work on the hands turned out great!
