Another neglected piece I hadn't time for but have now returned to. Daunting amount of work in this one, hence my procrastination. I am determined to get this done in the next 2 weeks.

Wonderful drawing. I almost wish you'd leave some of the sketchy lines. Did you do all of the drawing on the computer or scanned? Reminds me of a post over in the other subforum about drawing with a wacom. It always seems to smooth to me to get lines that actually look like pencil lines.

I do everything with my Wacom in Photoshop these days. Cutting out the process of scanning in a traditional sketch saves a lot of time. I am perfectly comfortable sketching digitally anyway. Practice and repetition is the key

Plenty of free Photoshop brushes mimic pencil lines if you need the look . I usually sketch with a basic round brush however, knowing I will be painting over it later.

Getting stuck into the fabric folds on the Angels today. Tricky but fun

I was overseas for a couple of weeks and got no art done. I have been back at this piece for a few days now however. Pretty much done with the main Angel.

Nice work Ken!

If it were me I don't know if I would include the feet or legs of the right angel. My eyes went right to that for some reason. Not sure why. Maybe it is because the middle angel does not have feet?

Good to know. First impressions are important. The plan ultimately is to create a lighting scheme that connects the main angel and the seated figure. There will also be a lot of incense obscuring some detail. I will keep the feet in mind as I go forward.

Wow ! A great master piece here. Love the lighting colors. the incence smoky flowing through the room around the angels. I can almost smell it. Much detail work. I can see why it took awhile to do.

Ps. Also enjoyed you showing the progress of this master piece :)

Made some final tweaks, color changes etc. I will step away for a week before I send it to the printers to ensure I don't need to do more. Time to move on, thanks for watching and commenting!

Superb! Really enjoyed the process. Some of "mid-way" parts were excellent in their own right, and you could probably have finished off there, and i'd still consider it excellent.

One quick question ... did you subconsciously make the central angel look a bit like Henry Cavill? I can't shake the likeness of Superman here ...
