7.5x5 watercolor over ink line sketch, a plein air drawing done on last week's trip to Ft. Worth downtown area. Color was added back in the studio. This is where I sat in Sundance Square by the fountains looking north. Micron 01 pen used to sketch on Moleskine for watercolor sketchbook.
C&C welcome

Nicely done. I used to hang out in Ft Worth when I was in high school in the 70s. Some great urban photo ops there for sure. My favorite place was the railroad freight yards. I would spend many hours there with my camera. Sadly I don't think I have any of my negatives from those days.

Yes, thanks! In the 70s Ft. Worth was not as crowded. I used to go there and visit cousins who took me to the stockyards. The town still has a small town atmosphere versus its cosmopolitan neighbor Dallas.

Beautiful and very appealing, Kay!
I almost missed this, thank goodness I didn't.
Never been in Ft. Worth, but it all looks so familiar and homey.
I like it very much.

It's a charming painting. The loose style of the ink drawing and colorful paint are appealing. But what's the object in the upper left quadrant? Is it a water tower?

Thank you Trier, Greg, and Annie. Actually, Annie, all across the background sky is nothing but tall skyscrapers w/ mirrored walls. I left out part of it to show some sky and not be so closed in.
