http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/16-Jun-2017/1019242-IMG_5434.JPG Sorry didn't follow he value challenge, so I may have a go at it with a different media. Just got my first little pack of gouache and really wanted to try it out first. This is about two hours, but that's including drying time between layers so maybe not actually two hours of painting. I plan to go back over it again maybe tomorrow.

Love this country scene, Jess, just fabulous! You've got a great handle on the values already with a nice range established.

Oh, that's so lovely! It captures the essense of that area very well.
And good work on "trying out" the new gouache; looks like you nailed it.
Nice, I would leave it like it is!

Thanks all. Forgot to mention I did my first limited palette. Only red yellow blue and burnt sienna with white. I always feared color mixing but it's not as terrible as I thought.

What a beautiful gouache painting! Looks like a medium you took to immediately. I love the subtle greys, greens, browns, and blues.
