This was an experiment with a new pen. Prismacolor brush pen on Arches Hot Press. About an hour.

The pen isn't waterproof so you can get shades of gray with it. I found for some areas, I scribbled on another piece of paper and picked up the color with my waterbrush. I think I slipped into painting instead of drawing! I'm not sure I like the result well enough to use the pen a lot but it was fun to play with.

Thanks for hosting Christine.

Very nice results, Anne! If you use the brush pens to do value studies it will help a lot to get to know the pen and its capabilities.

She is very sweet and soft. I like the warm touches in her ear and face. Looks like it was fun experimenting with the new pen.
