this fellow made me think of that song so Mr Bojangles he is :D
i have plans for Bojangles  this is not the finish. i hope he becomes a multimedia something... to be determined. initial quick sketch was about 45 minutes. then i wasted about 2 hours going down the wrong rabbit hole, so i am not counting them :p . about 1 1/2 hours so far after a couple of redraws, including this one. he may end up mr frankenjangles when i am done  , but isnt experimenting fun? :wink2:
drawing is 2.5 X 3.5 in, ink on sketch paper. 1 1/2 hours and counting.

thanks all! :D
progress is being made. another hour today. acrylic wash on the card. i was originally going to do watercolor, but thought better of it as gluing onto watercolor would have messed it up.
he still looks a little pale though ...:p

ok... calling him finished. learned a few lessons along the way but par for the course when you try something new.
i spent another 1 1/2 hours to finish. since the last post, he was painted with acrylic paint, the added some ink details. then he was varnished with gloss acrylic varnish and then washed with a dark transparent acrylic paint to bring out the details. a little ink and gel pen to finish and voila! :smug: i forgot to mention before that i used 140 lb watercolor paper.
these little cards are a lot of fun to do.. expect more in the future. :wink2:
