View Full Version : **IMAGES HERE** for WDE 9 June

06-08-2017, 07:54 PM
I have to go out and am not sure what time I will be getting back or if I will still have the energy to upload then so I am going a bit early.:cat:

I will be posting 16 images and a challenge.

Please wait until all are uploaded before commenting - thank you.

You have 30 minutes to make your choice and choose your materials - you may use any medium.

For the next two hours, just go for it……then STOP!, scan or photograph your work and post it in your own new thread with your title, beginning with WDE, plus date, plus title.

When you introduce your work, please add a description of size, medium, support (paper, canvas etc) and time taken.
If your work is digital, we'd appreciate a description of whether it's freehand drawing/painting, manipulated image or done using the filters available in some programmes - you could also say which programme you've used.
All are acceptable but we'd like to know the "hows, whys and wherefores"!!:)

Use WIP for any work in progress at the 2 hour mark, and MI for multiple images if other works are to be added before the following Monday.

NB. To avoid forum flooding, please put all of your work during the weekend, for the current WDE, into a single thread: multiple threads will be merged!
From the following TUESDAY, you may open a new thread for later work.

You have the whole week to participate - until the next WDE starts (usually Friday). If you finish a piece after that time, please post in its own thread and try to give the date/host of that particular week - if you can!:)

After posting your contribution, please view others’ entries and comment and encourage when you can. Unless requested, please refrain from critiquing.

Whew... OK sorry about the ones turned on the side. I dont know why it does that but it drives me nuts. I hope someone can straighten them up. Pixi in the RIL has done it as well:(.
Anyway on with the show. My challenge is to keep it simple and convert the image you choose into something like the cats in the last photo.
Have fun everyone and if you pop in for a look please join in .

These are wonderful, Christine! I sympathize with the photos going sideways, mine are forever doing that. Perhaps the challenge can be painting/drawings that are sideways! 😉Thanks for hosting, lots of great subjects here!

P.S. Tapping the larger version rights things up. 👍

I managed to get them upright for you by saving and renaming them, at least I think that's why it worked. But you are not the only one with this problem ; it may be the uploader itself, or different operating systems, or....?Great set of images!

Thanks Wendy and Sandra, I just got home so just as well I uploaded this morning. I notice a few mistakes in the shortcuts to the larger versions but they are all there in the RIL if you want them.

I've put Pixie upright in the RIL - I know I re-orirentated the RLI ones when you uploaded earlier - maybe Pixie was missed, or uploaded later?

This problem seems to happen when uploading from phones and ipads (mostly) and often is corrected by doing what Wendy did - going via a desktop or laptop ........ it's an on-going problem unfortunately:(

Those animal pics are lovely Christine!:) ..... so's the busker fella!

Thanks Maureen, I use a laptop and I tried twisting and saving but not renaming so I will remember that for the next time. It seems to only affect those photos taken in portrait and wants to make them landscape

I cant wait to see what you come up with Bonnie
