if i am going to get better at watercolor, i should not paint this small. the paint doesn't react the same. this was a mess until i added the ink pen. now i kinda like it!

w/c on 2.5 X 3.5 in 140 lb mystery brand w/c paper (was a scrap from something). about 2 hours.

the big one...

actual size (on 96dpi monitors)

and now the moose ...

i spent way too many hours on this but it became a matter of principle, even when the orginal design had flaws. i am calling this a prototype... printer paper was a poor choice. it needed card stock. but for a first attempt at something like this i learned a lot. so here is my wobbly moose...

a couple shots to show how the parts went together..

and the final...

Great buildings. Super wobbly moose! Maybe he gorged too much on produce in the Safeway in Newfoundland (I've heard of a moose who got into the grocery store through the automatic doors ... what a sight that would be!)

Mike, your watercolor with pen is very nice. You achieve perfectly the old walls. Bravo.
But your idea with the mouse is very great. I love it!

I like your wee watercolor. Very delicate and lots of nice subtleties. And that moose is fabulous! What patience you have!
