Wow, this is beautiful, Marianne. Reminds me of Matisse. I love the simplicity and elegance of the design.

Yes, it sings! Love this floral style and colors bouncing off each other. Truly cheerful and fun!

Holly, the Matisse/Diebenkorn exhibit is at SFMOMA right now (near where I live) and this painting was definitely Matisse inspired. You nailed it. After studying Matisse, I feel I don't have to be so literal in my interpretation. Thanks Holly and Kay for the compliments.

Marianne, I am so happy to see your interpretation " la Matisse" of the roses. I am amazing how the painters here are able to interprete the pictures. Definitely, I wont to improve in that way. I agree: simplicity, elegance and its sings! Than you.

Marianne, lucky you! I would love to see the Matisse/Diebenkorn show and even tried to see if I could fly down to San Francisco for it, but no luck. I do have the beautiful exhibition catalog. You inspire me to want to try to paint something la Matisse or la Diebenkorn.
