Thanks, and yes... I recently discovered these panels called "Claybord" by Ampersand USA. After years of painting on hardboard these are fantastic: beautiful ivory-smooth primed surface.

Thanks again... size is 11X14 inches. I painted it just after completing a similar picture depicting a Polish Sqn. Spitfire over Asch on the same day (Operation "Bodenplatte").

Hey, Trumper... sorry but I gave you some duff info there. The action depicted was over Sint Denijs, not Asch; it shows F/O T. Szlenkier of 308 (Polish) Sqn and a JG2 fighter (the image is better because this is from a scan; the other was just a photo).

I like the soft light in these paintings .

Thanks... I think the contrast between on the one hand the hard war-machines, and on the other the elements and nature is an important thing to aim for.

Thats another cracker ,well done.I like the way the trees pop through the mist, clouds ,the speed and proximity :)

 Thanks, buddy... I prefer the aviation works which include some ground detail, especially when it's a recognisable place or event. Not all of mine are like this, however.
