I love these chef statues, I need to get one for my kitchen. This is in my Strathmore Visual Journal, 140 lb watercolor paper, 9x12. Once again I forgot to time myself. Things I didn't do that I should have... mix enough paint for the background or keep the paper wet enough and tape the space rather than draw the lines. And I just noticed that the shading isn't dark enough, it is darker in real life. Oh well, I do like the little guy anyway.

He's fantastic and so French! Your background is perfect as it reminds us of steam and smoke and grease you might find in a busy kitchen environment. I love my collection of chef figures that are such great models for art.

You did so well with this! I love it, including the freedom of the sides, and the background!
