View Full Version : WDE 5 May and 3 past weeks worth

These are all "in the spirit of".
Every week I faithfully download WDE images, then "stuff" happens, maybe I sneak some time to do a quick on but don't get time to comment, then suddenly it's Thursday and I think, better wait till Friday and start over.
None of them are anything to write home about.
This week's is oil sticks on 6x6 canvas board. I had read something aboit the "oiling out" method and was curious to give it a try.
Previous week is acrylics on 6x8 canvas board.
And the previous 2 weeks attempts are little ones on "stipple paper" I found at Michael's when I had a 50%-off coupon burning a hole in my pocket. I'm not too impressed with the stuff.
charcoal pencils
Thanks to the 4 hosts and sorry for being so late!

I like them all, but the oil sticks is my favourite:)

Thanks for catching us up! I agree the oil is my fav, the acrylic has the softness that is your style, and good to know that stippling paper may not make an artist happy :)

Wendy, all four are great. My fave is the acrylic house.

I know what you mean about the week slipping by too fast. It seems to be happening to me more and more as well. I am glad you were able to catch us up with your 4 weeks worth. They are all terrific but I must agree with everyone else and say the oil sticks one is my favourite as well.

I'm glad to hear someone else starts and doesn't get it finished. I'll do the initial sketch early in the week and then not get back to it.

I like all of them.

Nice drawings Wendy, but love the tree on brick wall and also the oil sticks on board.

I like all of them. The first one is lovely, I don't know what oiling out is but it looks good! Really like the tree too, the colours work really well. I like the drawings too, especially the last one. :)
