Hello everyone

This is my first attempt at a landscape inspired painting.

Fish Creek is a little waterway that forms the boundary of my children's school with Council land. As such, I set myself a challenge to try and paint the landscape from an almost childlike perspective. (I also gleefully used *every* *single* *pastel* I own which was so much fun that I may just try it again sometime!)

I'd love your feedback. I'm trying to work out whether I should try to paint some more in the future...

Thanks so much for looking!

Thank you so much water girl for your kind words. It was scary for me to post this, so your encouragement means a lot.

This is so nice! I love the graceful shapes of the leaves and the perspective as if we are close to the ground. Landscapes are so open to interpretation and you can impose any mood you like on them so I hope you'll let your creativity loose!

Kate, this is charming.. an interesting colour palette, nice interaction of shapes and line... this idea is definitely worth exploring.
