Thanks for hosting, Team! I painted the horses last week over two evenings and didn't think I'd have time to post so didn't keep track of time. Acrylics, 11"x14." (sorry about the blurry photo)

This one started as a painting of Molly, but that wasn't working so I painted it out with leftover paints and it became the Siamese instead. He's eyeless at the moment. Not sure if he'll stay that way. Acrylics 8"x8", and took about 1.5 hours (so far and not counting the previous failed painting).

I did some blind contours too (very good exercise!), but I've no time to take pictures of them. Heading into finals week...

I love both of your paintings! Great sense of movement in the horse picture. I love your cat too; I think I would leave it just as it is (I would believe he had his eyes closed). I love the splash of green on his nose. :)

Stampeding hooves are really so full of life, vim and vigor!
You've managed to make my old kitty Jezebel look young again. She was dozing in a sunny south window. Love the bit of green on her nose.
Wonderful work on both these, Holly! Good luck with the finals.

Really nice oil sketches again. The cat is excellent. That flash of vivid green brings the dark area to life.

Both are wonderful. The dark shadows where the eyes will be does give the suggestion but hopefully you'll put in a little more detail for them.

WOW!! Your work always lifts and inspires me. It has been difficult to get myself motivated lately but this makes me want to get going again.
