I will be posting 16 images and a challenge ...

Please wait until all are uploaded before commenting - thank you.

You have 30 minutes to make your choice and choose your materials - you may use any medium.

For the next two hours, just go for it……then STOP!, scan or photograph your work and post it in your own new thread with your title, beginning with WDE, plus date, plus title.

When you introduce your work, please add a description of size, medium, support (paper, canvas etc) and time taken.
If your work is digital, we'd appreciate a description of whether it's freehand drawing/painting, manipulated image or done using the filters available in some programmes - you could also say which programme you've used.
All are acceptable but we'd like to know the "hows, whys and wherefores"!!:)

Use WIP for any work in progress at the 2 hour mark, and MI for multiple images if other works are to be added before the following Monday.

NB. To avoid forum flooding, please put all of your work during the weekend, for the current WDE, into a single thread: multiple threads will be merged!
From the following TUESDAY, you may open a new thread for later work.

You have the whole week to participate - until the next WDE starts (usually Friday). If you finish a piece after that time, please post in its own thread and try to give the date/host of that particular week - if you can!:)

After posting your contribution, please view others’ entries and comment and encourage when you can. Unless requested, please refrain from critiquing.

...I took this photo of my father and his two brothers at a wedding about 35 odd years ago. All three brothers are gone now, and dads been gone over 15 years, but this pic still makes me smile...

...and last but not least, our darling dog Kizzie, she was a real character, the other critter is Gladys, a chicken that hobbled into our garden one day, also a lovable little rogue. These two became great companions, so much so, that Kizzie allowed Gladys to sleep in her bed with her at nights. i would never believe you could love a chicken, but she was a real sweetie, love and miss them both...

Lovely photos and stories - lots of love in these images

I can't help but be curious - in the one of your and your sister, which is which?

And in the pic of the three brothers, which is your Dad?

Thank you so much Scatty - wonderful selection! I love the Family photos including Kizzie and the chicken! Thank you also for verifiying what I have been witness to with our collie dogs. When I was a kid our collie would lay on the front porch in the snow and let our rooster (named George) settle down right on his back. I do have a photo of them on the back porch eating leftover spaghetti from the same plate (sort of Lady & the Tramp style now that I think about it!) More recently, last month during a power outage here, our very old cat quietly climbed on our collie Moxie as she was laying on her side and snuggled right in! I actually do have a photo of that too, since I had the day off due to the huge snowstorm.
Well, I guess you know already who I will be painting. :)
