View Full Version : Donkey Party

15x22 watercolor, wet in wet, on Kilimanjaro 140 lb cold press paper begun yesterday and finished today, about 2 hours total...it is the 3rd time to paint these donkeys from a farm photo close to where I grew up. The other two versions sold right away and were a little different with an ultramarine sky rather than the pale one here done with Blue Bice by American Journey. The bg is made up to look southwestern which is more interesting than the pasture they were in together.
C&C welcome

Love the title Kay. Great colours and those distended nostrils are so typical. Super painting.

Love the expressiveness of both the animals and the way that you have painted them with bold colors. Great job.

I love the richness of the colours and they complement beautifully the expression of the donkey on the left! Very nice :D
