No mame for this one yet. The only part I'm happy with is the background. Still got a long ways to go. Reference photo from Janime Meister, a member of the FB page Photos For Artists.

Using W&N pigment markers on Yupo paper. Size 9"X12"

So dramatic with the deep darks! We will all watch you complete this.

I like the background too! It's looking really good so far, I'll be watching for updates as I'd like to learn more about using markers for art. :)

I apologize for taking so long to update, but here is the last picture I took. I have gotten more done since, but just haven't taken a picture yet. Life has a way of getting in the way of my art time.

I hope it won't take as long to post another update.

Finally got around to posting a final update. I've been having computer issues, so I haven't been on much.

I finished this last week & even though I could still add much more to it, I'm calling it done. It was a good practice piece to learn how these pigment markers work. I've started on another dog, but it's not down to wetcanvas's size requirements. Will try & post that by the weekend.

Thank you all for taking the time to view/comment on my work.

I love it! I really like the colours you've used, the pink tones and light blues work really well with the darks. I also like how you've made the background look so painterly. Not to mention the dog is adorable.

Wow, markers? You've done a fantastic job with this beautiful painting (or drawing? I'm not sure with markers. :) ). Nice, rich colors, and the light is beautiful.

Great :) I think the camera is not showing the correct colors ... or contrast is to high ... anyway is very nice :)

Beautiful painting! You've done extremely well with those Markers! I'm sure we'd all be interested to hear more of your technique with them? For instance are they water-soluble and do you use parts of your painting as a wash?
