This one is 7" x 11" on paper.
I used a photo from the image library for reference.
C&C welcome

Here's the art and the photo

You made the most of those graphic shapes, Perry! I like how you simplified the photo and created a very pleasing painting where the shapes all work together. The orange floor and the shadow are really nice touches! Your work inspires me to be more creative with references.

I love simple paintings of walls etc. I especially love the second one, the colors and the rustic old building feeling you captured👏😊

This is a cool composition!
It would look good next to the stairwell you just painted.

It looks as though you have a series going on Perry; this one and the staircase surely make a "series". A very nice series at that!

Nicely done, and good work on all shapes that have symmetry

Thank you very much everyone.
I think I'll try a few more of the castles.

It is a pleasing painting in softer colours playing with curves and corners giving more emphsis to the application of colours. For me the photo has a special attraction in the center columns and walls caught in the sunlight. You could have perhaps left out the columns and taken the wall with the arch and the rectangular space. But as you are playing more with soft colours and simple walls, that would not have been appropriate.
