This painting is a combination of 5 photos for a commission. The main theme is the 3 dogs and they have to be in a garden with grass and the zantedeshia is also a favorite of the client. A3 , canvas and in oils.

You did a great job with this combo of references! Not an easy one at all.

Beautiful and great job of putting the photos together!
You could go a bit darker on the shadows on the dogs (to bring them forward a bit from the background) and also their underneath shadows on the ground to take away a slightly floating look? Extremely difficult putting photos together!

Christel, not an easy undertaking and you have handled it admirably. Well done. I agree with Vivien that the shadows beneath the dogs should be stronger. The front paw of the little poodle in the middle could also be darker on the tip where the nails are.

Good tips! Thanks!

You did well very Christel I agree with Viv and Chammi I ll daken the fg and the shadows on the dog ,I ll also touch up the far left distant tree eventhough it is like that on the reference, on the painting it attract the viewer eye on that corner
I did a quick simulation in photoshop so you can see if you prefer now if you can also lighten the the bg it ll look more natural IMHO like the second
Of course nothing is exact in the simulation it is just to give you an idea

So sweet. Well done! Your plants and background are excellent, too. I like the darker grass.

I think you did a great job, the picture is well put together and the dogs look good. It looks like a tricky ref. I like the background too and the way the plant on the right ties everything together.

Thanks Kay. Yep, tricky is the right word for this reference and 2 of the dogs photos were taken indoors.
