16.5" x 13" pastel pencils and softies on Pastelmat
This was taken from a photo of a creek taken by my Granddaughter and sent to me as challenge. It was a challenge for sure!
It is a bit brighter in person. (maybe that is just my computer though LOL)

this is really interesting, and looks like it took a long tine to paint.
It is a painting that wants to be stared at for a long time. :)

This really does say "jewels". Beautiful work. So interesting to study. What fun you must have had working all those subtle colors against one another.

I agree with Stapeliad. I could look at this for hours and not get bored...There is so much going on...movement, beautiful color, sparkle. It has detail but you have given it overall unity.
