Penny,
I like the proportions of Roxy's outline. While I am far from an expert and haven't played with watercolors in over a decade, you may be able to add some depth to the left side of the snout (Roxy's right) by darkening the black against the grey transition into her nose. If you can lighten the black as you move up the snout/away from the nose, it may give your piece additional dimension.

I really like what you've started here. Hopefully some of the watercolor experts have some feedback for you. Great start!
