Not nearly as artistic as most of what's seen in this forum, but my wife likes it. 4" x 9" x 3/4" Poplar & red oak inlaid into American black walnut. All scraps from other projects.

It's very simple but nice, it has a mid century modern feel to it and it's cool looking!😊

Very nice. I made a box once upon a time with an intarsia top of a rose. http://www.heritageartstudios.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pid=29&fullsize=1 I think I used poplar for the leaves, bloodwood for the rose and walnut(?) for the stem. Been awhile .. but it was fun just as I suspect yours was. :)

Inlay is always attractive to me:
the contrasts in colors and textures
and the form itself are appealing

it does recall a mid-1950's modern look

well done
