bgviper, your characters are just fantastic and your journal is most cool. What is going to happen to the clay piece?

Oh wow!!! These are absolutely amazing! And it looks so great laid out like this as a book. What program do you use to produce this digital "journal"?

bgviper

cheers eyepaint and otherworlder!

@otherworlder i just use plain old photoshop to assemble the digital pages. For painting i use the programs Photoshop, Corel Painter, Sketchbook, Krita and Mischief.

Your studies are so accomplished and interesting. Do you do anything special to the paper for the ones where you use oil paints?

bgviper
08-31-2017, 03:51 PM
cheers Greg, i will keep the cartoony fellas coming

scc1989 - it's mostly oil/acrylic paint paper - but when i want to render in oils fast , i gesso my own paper with highly absorbent gesso - this way one can go on an render faster then with non absorbent gesso.
i also gesso my watercolour paper journals so i can paint with oils in it.

PS - Good idea of presenting your oil sketches, and sanguines (or red coloured pencil) by electronically inserting them on an old book background.
It enhances them.
