pastel paper colours? i made flowers,forest landscapes and still life which means for paper colours. currently i used colours what are big part of subject. like lightblue for landscape where sky is seen a lot i feel is good.

You can always tone your paper the color you want. Watercolors work well as do thinned water based inks. Acrylics tend to load up the tooth too much for me when used for an underpainting / toning.

Sometimes, people use a paper color that is a complementary color to the dominant color in the painting. Using a red paper for a green landscape can work nicely. I mainly use Uart paper and it is a tan color. I always do an under painting of some kind and usually use one color of Pan Paslel for it. My favorite color for a landscape under painting is violet. The greens look great over violet and it unifies the painting.
