15th July 1944 squadrons 144 RAF, 404 Canadian, 455 Australian and 489 New Zealand, a total of 34 Beaufighters flying near the Southern tip of Norway near Mandal came across two columns of merchant ships surrounded by escorts ships (a total of nine ships). All the ships were left on fire. crews saw a cargo ship of 5,000 tons "completely dissolve in a terrific explosion which could be heard over the sound of the aircraft engines after being torpedoed by one of the 489 NZ squadron Beaufighter.

It came out really well, you must be the picture of a 'satisfied artist' and that's a tough place to get to sometimes! It is intense, action-filled and has great detail. The artist must love what he does. His or her passion shows in what they depict and how hard they try to do that.
