Small Queen Ann table. Black cherry 28’’x 20’’. Some machine work but all shaping done by hand. I designed the table myself but it is obviously a standard Queen Ann style, so the word ‘design’ needs to be interpreted loosely. Perhaps it is better to say that I proportioned it. Linseed oil finish.

Very nice - should age and color beautifully. Not having a lathe I've never done legs like that but they came out in lovely form.
Nice outfeed table BTW ...

Thanks for the kind words. By the way, the legs were not done on the lathe. They were carved out of a 3x3 block by first bandsawing them, then shaping them with a rasp, file and spokeshave.

Wow .. that's a lot of work! Turned out great though ...
Very nice. Cherry is a great wood to work with. With the oil on it, it will age beautifully.
It turned out beautiful. Cherry is such a great wood to work with. The oil finish will give it patina very quickly. Nice work.
