This is fantastic! You've got a knack for all those scales and markings on the skin. A wonderful work of a lovely lizard. :) Great job!

Thanks Sheryl and Christel. With this particular one I notice the shine of the acrylic Inks. When they are applied to Bristol paper that the surface is really flat and white, they shine even more. I'm going to keep exploiting this... :)

Absolutely fabulous, Tony. Love it. How long did this take you? You have such excellent detail on those scales.

Thanks Chammi, :)... I took me like 3 sessions of 3h each to make the drawing and 2 sessions to add the colors. First in Graphite, then add ink over, and erase. When coloring the most amount of time is when I mask for me not to contaminate the other parts of the piece... So I cover the trunk and Iguana first, paint the background, when finish invert the covering and paint the Iguana and then the trunk...

Merci Phranque :)

Fedetony:
The sharp penwork start in itself is incredibly fantastic.
And colors with the ink finish makes it one of the very best I've seen!

All 3 steps could be a finished work! I thought the pen and ink was finished until I scrolled down. You are very talented. I hope to get some degree of proficiency (as in above mediocre!) with watercolors before I try anything else.

Thanks Joy.... art is an expression, for some someone is outstanding and for others is not.... in the end what is important is what you feel and think of your own art :). If it completes you or satisfies you, the others will like it better, we are always the hardest critic to our work...
