oils on canvas size 24x48 inches
The scene is from my imagination, but i did a lot of research into old photographs to make sure my details where as accurate as i could.
The 2 main ships are the Oxfordshire and the Chusan and a variety of different types of Junks which have long since gone.
The buildings have also been replaced by huge Skyscrapers and high rise flats.

Wow, that is an impressive harbor scene! So much detail I honestly thought it was a photo at first. The contrast between the old and the new is particularly interesting... the sailing ships next to the big steam liner. You can still see odd contrasts like that today around harbors.

Great job!

Love the way you paint boats against a majestic landscape! Beautiful scene!
