MY COMMENTS:
Newbie at this game (3 months old) and zero formal training, currently studying facial muscles and structure. Here are two self portraits, one distorted and one in repose. All kinds of critique are welcome, it will only help me improve.

Cheers

MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:
What's wrong and how may i fix it?

Good expressions here.
Your proportions are off a bit.
Check this video from some great tips on head proportions.

and yes, eviano, you've got great expression going on that could be spectacular with better skeletal/structural accuracy. i'm looking forward to seeing more from you. welcome to WC!

I second that the expressions in these pieces are great. Studying the underlying structure is an excellent way to improve. I would love to see your future work.

Another good source you may like to add to your library is Complete Guide to Facial Expressions by Gary Faigin.

Like the second one especially, and welcome to WC...

Been working on proportions and trying to fit in the expressions since the last time i posted here. My values are off however.

Opinions?
Thanks in advance
