Thank you la the peacock is actually the first one to sell. To a peacock breeder of all things.
Overall I'm disappointed in that so few had any input on these. I was rather happy with these.
Oh well God bless
given that it's a Critique forum, don't be dismayed at lack of comments.

Love the owl. Reminds me of Labyrinth. Bless Bowie. The sun or planetoid behind the peacock makes the painting so much attractive. I like the eyes on the guy. Really big ear though.

I also feel as artist we do not get enough encouragement, and critiques fall short. Sometimes we do not know how to critique pieces which is an art form in itself. Being a huge fan of up-cycled art I love the warmth your rustic work. If this was my work I might try a piece that is washed with stain to give it an older more distressed look to match the feel of the tile, still I think it works either way and will appeal to buyers.

Painting on slate has been around for some time. The slate gives a certain feel to the subject. And, I really like the old man. It may be because of the lighter and brighter colors that make him stand out from the background. Very good.

I tried painting on Mexican saltillo tiles after seeing some lovely paintings in Europe done on old roof tiles (the curved kind.) The results were very nice.
So seeing your roof slates brings that all back to me.
You've done a very good job here on an unusual surface. Congratulations!
