Watercolor on sketch paper, from a photo I took at the zoo. The palette is Payne's grey (1:1 ultramarine + raw umber, made from scratch), viridian, transparent yellow oxide, Italian burnt sienna, and buff titanium.

Nice painting, I like the circular format :) There's good texture to the feathers, I like the softness, and the palette works really well. :thumbsup:

The circle wasn't the original plan or something I normally do, but maybe half way through I needed an idea for where and how to set a border and remembered having a compass. What was already painted just barely fit.
