A little Inkscape, a lot of the GIMP. Dolphins stolen without permission from jow104 (http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1416056). Still trying to paint with a mouse. Layers, brushes, paths, filters... I couldn't decide how to finish this experimental piece, but I saw jow's dolphins and my way was clear :)

"The Dolphin Patrol showed signs of agitation after the object was spotted over the bay just before dawn. An interpreter was sent for when the increased activity was reported."

Liaka, you are most welcome and your painting has more imagination than mine. ( I wont tell you where I got my dolphins from ;) )

Nice! That's cool the way you painted the tree.

Thank you so much for commenting, jow and Michelle! I was thinking about atmospheric perspective in this little study, and also continuing to find a way forward using the mouse and free/open-source software. I realize that it's not so good, but I still have that urge to draw and paint regardless of the outcome :) I wasn't gonna post it, but then I saw those dolphins... and, well, there you have it

Thanks for being a good sport, jow; I really should have asked you before ripping you off for a second time! I hope that your situation at home is improving and I look forward to more of your paintings.

Laika, I think most of my life I have always been happy to give and donate and your thanks are all that is needed. At home the lady is doing her best and we are as happy as life goes on.
