MY COMMENTS:
Started this yesterday, I think I'll stop now, let it dry then the fun part - adding all the highlights and doo-dads.

MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:
Had no luck photographing this with my phone but it's quite colorful in person.

A few minor details added at the far end of the street and in the foreground snow. If anyone has any suggestions that would liven this up more, I'd appreciate hearing them. Please don't say more people, I'm not confident painting people and I know I'll screw it up.

I love the life in this painting.

If no more people--maybe a dog?

I think it looks good. About the only thing I could think of to suggest might be a couple little red bows or ornaments in the foreground, but I wouldn't want to mess up what you've got already.

very cheerful and old country, interesting glow effects in the snow, an element of mystery - what is that person looking at behind the house?

you wanted something more...
maybe a pair of snowshoes leaning against a porch?
