Hello everyone
I was offered an opportunity to get some Sennelier dry pigments for good price from another artist and I was wondering if I would be able to use them as pastels (I paint on sanded Uart) without adding any binders? Maybe with a brush or panpastels tools? Would the pure pigment even hold onto sandpaper or my painting would just fall off  ?

Most pastels have nothing more than precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC) added to the pigments. So yes, the pigment will hold onto the paper... if it is rubbed on the paper with a bit of force. Additionally, initial layers of fixative will fix it. Fixative is also tacky (especially if casein based), so will also help hold later layers.
