A lovely quiet rural area of Wales and I am going to work from one of my panoramic photographs, (hence the joins you can see). Using a panoramic picture the mountains are reduced in grandeur but I want the wide angle effect. (btw. the ll is pronounced flyn)

So my sketch starts the post.

Any progress? You're off to a good start. From Hawaii to Wales... you seem to have started a project of painting places that are difficult to pronounce :)

I have not been able to get back to the painting, my wife is quite ill at the moment and immobile, and I am on full time caring and housework lifestyle which is the first time in over 60 years of our marriage.

But I am getting stuck in to housework etc. and perhaps now more practiced I can get back to my computer pastimes.

Thanks all for looking in.

I hope it is not too serious and she will feel better soon.

Hopefully not too serious but very painful trapped sciatica nerve since 5 th Oct. and no improvement just pure pain when attempting to move. Physiotheripists working on it but mystified themselves

I got in a session of painting this morning, and then the wife had a bad turn with her sciatica so finished off this painting asap.

Nice! A very pleasant scene. No wonder you wanted to paint it.

I hope your wife gets better soon, for her sake and yours. It's hard to endure pain and hard to see a loved one suffer.
