I have been challenging myself in Corel Painter using Trace and a Reference image.

Excellent results. I look at the trace/ref process as an evolution all the way back to the Camera Obscura, which made all those 17th cent paintings so amazing. (When I was in college, I bought an opaque projector for some of my paintings- which was the modern equivilence to C.O.)Today, it's the modern computer software.

Very nice! What kind of brushes do you like most in Corel?

With the last few paintings I have been using Pastel brushes. But mostly I love using the partical brushes, detail oil brush and I love using the eraser darkener and bleach for contrast. It really is according to what I am working on. I used the bleach and darkener for texture on the oranges and lemon.

Thank you all for your kind remarks. I have been trying to challenge myself instead of staying in a rut. I like using a reference image because it helps me a lot to paint a better picture. My next challenge is people.

Very nice, I like the realism of the fruits plus a great job with the basket. Yes it helps to have a reference to go by. I do mostly but change them to my likening. :)
