Our own Gibbs!

Looks like a wonderful project. My experience with such things is limited to models. Do you have a lake near your house? That will be an exciting day for sure!

This is a great project for those long winter nights.

Are you also carving a figurehead for the bow and curved nameplate for the stern?

Looking forward to enjoying this as it comes together

I'm making a dragon's-head carving for the bow and a row of shields down each side . . my own little Viking ship . . not really, but it would be fun.

Got the bottom on yesterday . . next step is glass-taping the seams . .

Brings back memories of my father building a row boat in the late 1950's. He kept it - and used it - into the 1970's after he retired. Don't know what the final disposition of it was, but it was a sturdy little craft that helped catch many bluegill, crappie, and bass.
