Have not painted for a while but Bob always got me going when I need a shove. So largely based on one of his demonstrations.

A lovely scene. Maybe sharpen the edges on the mountains?

Just remembering Bob Ross applied the snow with a palette knife leaving sharp edges.

I find it difficult using the palette knife with Corel painter It works best if canvas is rotated but my lit'al ole brain gets confused when I work it thata way:)

far shore has a sag that seems off, foliage back there could be toned down/blued? so not the same color range as the foreground colors..

Nice scene. I always liked Bob Ross paintings scenes . I use to watch his shows all the time and did some of his work in oils.

Yes he was a nice friendly guy and seemed prepared to share his art with all and nature.

Thanks all for looking and guidance and your views are always welcome.

Hi I find to crisp up the edge of a mountain, you could mask the edge along the sky area and paint or cut in the edge. I personally when painting some thing like this I would paint it on a separate layer, use smooth scratchboard and paint the shape of the mountain with a colour then use protect transparency, then you will get sharp edge to the sky, the soft detail is ok. The distant shore bringing the water edge towards the viewer all ways looks odd, putting shape try using distorto brush to push it away from the viewer, on colour select the colour as normal then dial back the saturation a little and lighten it a little all so, that should make a deference, apart from that excellent work. Well done!

You are welcome, my friend, this is how I work on my paintings, for me it gives me a bit more control, and if it don't quite look right it is easier to correct.

Some people work a little differently, it is what works for you.

Good look with your work.Dave

It's very pleasing to hear I have another friend in this world. It's one of the good things that the Internet led to this kind of thing.
