I thought this would be fun. Play if you want to!

Say you have a $1000 budget.

You have to find the ultimate painting to put up. Where would you start? What would your process be like? Do you have a "go to" artist as a starting point? Would you search online?

Then tell us what one you find, how you found it, and where you would put it.

I'd start by blowing the $1,000 on art supplies . . .

$1000? I don't know many artists whose work I would love to own that I could get for that price. I couldn't even buy one of my own paintings for that amount. In fact, considering studio rent, utilities, travel costs, and materials I might just barely be able to subsidize the creation of a single painting for that $1000.

Ok, then how about finding that one artwork that you would love to own and what it costs.

I think $1000 would buy enough gas to get around to quite a few garage sales. I might get really lucky and find a painting by T. Denver!
