Pat was a dear friend who always gave of herself without asking for anything in return. She was instrumental in setting up the Oil Pastel forum here at WetCanvas, was one of the co-founders of the OPSociety, and worked behind the scenes with many projects. Any time I needed someone with clear thinking, I turned to Pat. Her calm manner and wise words always helped to solve the problem. I will miss her very much.

I'm so shocked. She was such a gifted artist and a wonderful teacher. Through her I became inspired to try this medium. She was always very encouraging. She was posting on here just a few days ago.

Can someone post about what happened? I knew she had some health issues, but didn't realize they were life threatening. Thanks.

Her obituary states a long illness. I did not know she was so sick. She gave so much of herself to this forum and the oil pastel society. Thank you so much Pat. Rest in peace and blessings to your family.

I'm very sorry to read the news of Pats passing. She was truly a very gifted artist, her legacy will stay with us through her beautiful paintings, work with the oil pastel society, and most of all her tireless time given to so many of us throughout the years on the oil pastel forum of Wetcanvas.

Personally I feel a great deal of gratitude to Pat for her guidance and gentle suggestions - it was through her patience and instructions that I become a better artist overall and specifically with oil pastels.

You will be missed Pat. My deepest sympathy and condolences to her family.

I am shocked by this. Very sad. :( Cherish each day with one another, on WetCanvas or off. Hopefully someone can put up an "in memory of" on WetCanvas.

Does anyone have a link to the Facebook page that mentioned her death?

This is crushing to me, she pretty much got me going on my art journey, I was just looking at the pumpkin painting yesterday that I did with oil pastels back in Oct/Nov 2012, based on a challenge photo, and how far I've come as an artist. She was very encouraging!

Look down Patrica Isaac friends Facebook list and you'll see her daughter name .

Allan, on Patricia's Facebook page there don't seem to be any posts for the past two years. Does she have another page? On the page I looked at:

when I click on friends nothing comes up but the people she was following, and those who were following her. I never knew she had a Facebook page. Is that the page I should be looking at? What is her daughter's name?

Wow, I only login to WC every so often - but I certainly wasn't expecting this. Pat was always so kind and inspired others. The times I spoke to her on WC were ALWAYS a pleasure. Rest in peace, Pat. It won't be the same without you.
