Been rattling around with a few ideas for my next illustration. I think this is the one I will go with next however. It is inspired by Poe's the Raven.

Thanks for sharing your process! I enjoyed watching Miss Muffett come together and now I'm enjoying this one.

It's amazing how much time can go into the harmonious arrangement of stuff on a table

It's amazing how much time can go into the harmonious arrangement of stuff on a table.

It's the design elements that eat up so much brain power, even if it's not going to be the focus, or maybe especially because it's not the focus. An unpleasant arrangement tends to be very distracting to me in an environment, unnecessarily drawing my attention away from more focal elements.

I really like your progress though, keep up the great work, eagerly waiting to see what you are planning on for the color.

As usual, life is sucking up all my time, but I have begun a little lighting work on the table and am beginning to overlay more detailed drawing work in places

Haven't had time to do much on this of late, but today I started on the Angel faces. Think I want to get all the faces working first. Nothing worse than a decent painting with weak faces I find. Can anyone guess the model for Angel number one ?

Is it you?

Nope :) When I say 'model', i really mean photo reference, although my 2 nieces will likely be the other Angles.
