Your use of color is wonderful as usual, I especially like the area in the distance between the trees, it narrows down the focus without becoming to tightly painted. My only question is with the (water?) I did not read it as water in the upper portion, but looking at the lower half of the painting, it looks like a small quiet stream. The rocks at the bottom seem to dam the stream. My problem is that I get the impression that I am looking out through the trees at a slight decline. It looks like the water should be running away from the viewer, but the rocks suggest that the stream is downhill towards the viewer. Without the red rocks in the foreground, the area percieved as water looks as much like a bluestone path as a stream.
